Bonfire and cookout

Has the cost of gas eaten your entertainment budget? Looking for something to do?
Several times a month FOCUS ( the adult singles group) has weekend events.
“It (activities) provides an opportunity to further develop relationships and a chance to invite people together outside the 4 walls of the church, said Scott Bennett, FOCUS leader.

On April 20 the group met north of leader Scott Bennett’s house on 140th St for a bonfire/cookout.

Pictured (left to right) is Allison Keegan, Brad Braman, and Chris Dial talking before the cookout began.

One of the people who helped cook the hamburgers was singles group leader Lisa Bennett.

35 people attended. This number included friends and family of people in the group. The event lasted well into the night and marshmellows were roasted after the bonfire died down.

Upcoming events for the group include: May 17th service project- painting a house- time TBA, Bi- monthly Sunday lunches at 1pm (May 4- Elcharro’s and May 18 Wheat State Pizza), intermittent movie/game nights, and Heartfest in July -World’s of Fun and a Christian concert.
