First Bus Trip

The WILD Youth just left for Joplin, the first trip for our newly purchased bus!

To Cancel Or Not To Cancel

The phone call was from another pastor in town.  “Are you cancelling church tonight?”

It was 3:00 in the afternoon.  They had already cancelled.  Snow was coming down.  I had a frozen Imo’s pizza I could eat with my family for a leisurely dinner while playing Settle’s of Catan.

The pressure was on.  No one is going to be furious at me if we cancel.  There was nothing “special” planned.  What if the weather got worse and somebody got hurt.

We ended up not cancelling, because I couldn’t justify it due to the current condition and expected weather report until 9 pm.

I went to my men’s group.  It went awesome!  Attendance was only down a bit.

Thanks for not cancelling church last night even though I would have love to stay indoors. We had a great turnout and 2 new faces. One gave his life to Christ. It was a great night.
